What we collect, what we don't.
The short version: we keep what's needed to run the site, never sell your data, and let you delete your account.

What we collect
FurryFik collects only what's needed to run the directory:
- Account data — your name, email, and/or phone number when you sign up
- Business listings — name, address, contact info, photos, hours that you submit as a business owner
- Reviews — text, ratings, and the name/avatar shown publicly
- Browsing data — IP, browser type, and pages visited (for security and basic analytics)
- Location — only when you grant it, only used to sort results by distance, stored locally in your browser
What we don't collect
- We don't track you across other sites
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone
- We don't share contact details of pet parents with businesses (you reach them; they don't reach you unsolicited)
Cookies
We use the minimum cookies needed for sign-in sessions and CSRF protection. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. If we enable analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), it'll be configured to anonymize IP addresses.
Sign in with Google or Facebook
If you sign in via Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from that provider. We never receive your password or post anything on your behalf.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account and reviews until you delete them. Soft-deleted records are retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, to recover from accidents.
Your rights
- See — request a copy of your data from support@furryfik.com
- Edit — update profile fields any time from your dashboard
- Delete — delete your account from settings; reviews are anonymized, listings transferred to FurryFik
How we store data
FurryFik runs on AWS infrastructure (ap-south-1 region — Mumbai). Photos and videos are stored on S3. The database is a managed Postgres instance. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll bump the date at the top and email account holders for material changes.
