The short version

I spent a Sunday calling six "highly rated" Gurugram boarding places to find a spot for Jerry over a weekend trip. Three didn't pick up, two had outdated addresses, and the one that did answer was actually a residential apartment with a single mattress for "premium pet stays." That was the moment FurryFik started.

Who's Jerry?

Jerry is my golden retriever, my co-founder in spirit, and the most demanding QA engineer FurryFik has. If a boarding place doesn't pass the Jerry test, it doesn't get a verified badge from us. He's eaten suspicious treats, slept on questionable couches, and patiently waited through bad grooms so you don't have to.

How we pick businesses

Every FurryFik Verified badge means one of two things:

• We called and confirmed. Real number, real owner, real services. The owner agreed to be listed, the photos are theirs, the prices are current.
• We visited. When we visit, we add a "Visited by FurryFik" tag. You'll know we actually walked in — usually with Jerry — and spent 20 minutes asking awkward questions.

What we don't do

We don't take money from businesses to rank them higher. We don't run a booking platform — when you find a place you like, you call or WhatsApp them directly. No middleman, no platform fee, no algorithm hiding the best option in favour of the highest bidder.

Why Gurugram first

I live here. Jerry lives here. We can actually walk into a place and form an opinion. NCR expansion comes later — we'd rather get one city right than five cities approximately.

Who built this

Just me, mostly — Sachin Mittal, a software engineer with too much time on his hands and a dog who needed better options. Operations and outreach are growing as we add more businesses. If you'd like to help, drop me a line.
